Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo: Arches & Cliffhanger Concepts

Working as a member of the Ford Design Team, we were tapped to deliver a pair of Bronco concepts to showcase its off-road capabilities, and celebrate the spirit of Moab, Utah and Arches National Park

The first is the Bronco Off-Roadeo: Arches Edition, a four-door vehicle designed to be your ultimate all-around option for getting you and four friends around Moab’s grueling trails. Sitting on 37” All-Terrain beadlocked tires, Ford Performance light racks, a winch kit, and a power soft top, this build was a great way showcase what you can do with Ford Performance parts.

The second build was a lot more dynamic, with us chopping up a two-door Bronco, for a more technical off-roading experience. Featuring a huge set of 40” Baja tires and Fox Live Valve Shocks, this thing can take on any obstacle. We also threw some tube doors with custom-cut metal paneling, painted roof rails, RECARO seats, and an open-air interior to make this thing as off-road ready as possible.

The palette for these vehicles was inspired by the iconic Red Rock formations of Moab, with a flat metallic shade and a matte finish that create an interesting sparkle effect on the flat sun-baked Red color. The full-body matte protective film is built to protect and withstand the desert conditions.

Additional color-keyed Code Orange accents and graphics also add to the personality of the cars, where I highlighted functional parts and performance components on the interior and exterior of the vehicles. I also created hood ornamentation and side graphic wraps that drew inspiration from famous geologic formations from around the area, as well as additional easter eggs on the insides of the cars that paid homage to the Petroglyphs at Newspaper Rock.

It was a special opportunity to have these be my first Vehicle Designs, to pay homage to the work that Ford does with public land and trails through the Bronco Wild Fund, and to see them continue to draw attention at Bronco events, as well as the new Ford WHQ unveiling.
