The initial concepting phase of a project is a crucial one, requiring inspiration from a number of elements and references to build and define its look and feel.
Drawing from a wide variety of inspiration - sports, folk art, the natural world, dinosaurs, emerging tech, the list really goes on - I blend ideas with brand DNA to bring dynamic and engaging stories to life.
Color Palette
Concept & Construction
Color plays a key role at the consumer level, and it’s critical to develop palettes and color stories that stand out from the competition while also communicating brand strategy.
These are built through trend analysis, color concepting and theory, and research on historical and natural references to drive designs with longevity in the outdoors and beyond.
Product Coloration & Line Merchandising
Taking a palette and applying it across a collection strategically, both aesthetically and in regards to material usage, brings a product assortment to life. Balancing colorways between specific collection needs, energy at a product level, and highlighting key moments as well as workhorse styles in a product offering are critical to a good product line and creative strategy.

Choosing the right materials and finishes for a project can really help it stand out in a crowded marketplace. By drawing inspiration from the latest in trend, technology, and sustainability claims, I help brands bring eye-catching product stories to life. My process includes mood boarding, sample reviews, and tech packing of material details and trims.
Product Concepting &
Design Prototyping
Exploring new products through sketches and product illustration is a critical part of the design process, serving to communicate early iterations and concepting, and driving tech packing and spec work for prototypes. I am highly adept working on project lineart and detail work at all product stages, from ideation to full tech pack handoff.
Product Design &
Color Tech Packing
Formal product tech packs are a key part of the design process, communicating all necessary specs to developers and factories. This includes final dimensions, construction specs, material and color codes, and trim applications.
